At Aurinia, we collaborate with advocacy organizations who are connected to the lupus and lupus nephritis (LN) community and who take an innovative approach to healthcare management. Supporting the efforts of these advocacy groups is critical to creating meaningful impact for people living with LN. That’s why we established the Community Impact Grant Award program. Open to U.S.–based nonprofit organizations providing educational disease awareness initiatives and resources, the grant awards are designed to support efforts aimed at improving health outcomes for people living with LN by encouraging early screening for LN, addressing barriers to care, and fostering community engagement.
This year, we proudly awarded 18 grants to nonprofit organizations that are urgently addressing the critical needs of lupus and LN patients. These grantees represent lupus centers and patient advocacy organizations across 11 states. Grant recipients were selected based on their ability to not only collaborate with key stakeholders within the lupus and lupus nephritis community – including rheumatologists and nephrologists – but their ability to showcase both the quantitative and qualitative results of their impact.
As we continue delivering on our mission of fostering positive change, we look forward to the ongoing collaboration with these organizations and the broader lupus community. Together, we have the ability to build a more informed, connected, and resilient community that can navigate the toughest challenges in autoimmune disease.
Congratulations to the 2024 grant recipients!
